Britpop legend Liam Gallagher has collaborated with Selfridges to launch a new fashion and merchandise collection, comprising 'personally designed' pieces including upcycled jackets from Barbour, sunglasses from Finlay, and a parka, anorak and bucket hat from Snow Peak.
The collaboration also included a competition for aspiring fashion designers at Manchester Metropolitan University, who had the opportunity to have their designs featured on clothing sold as part of the collection. The news coincides with the release of the former Oasis frontman's third solo album C'mon You Know, and his manager, Sam Eldridge, commented 'Liam Gallagher is not only one of the greatest rock stars of all time but a true fashion icon and pioneer whose style and influence can be seen from high streets to festival fields across the country. We are delighted to be partnering with the iconic Selfridges store'.
